Abstract

Keywords: cooperative learning, CPS, students’ learning activity, students’ creativeness,students’ study completion. Reminding the importance of creativeness, activity, and study completion to students, the research aimed to apply one good method to make students more creative and active, also support the students’ study completeness. Here, by using creative problem solving learning model, since the learning type considered to be able to explore students’ activity and creativeness, which activity and creativeness would effect the students’ study completion. The research aimed to find out: (1) students’ activity in Math learning using Creative Problem Solving learning model in fraction count operation lesson in grade VII A MTs. Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School of Malang, (2) students’ creativeness in math learning using Creative Problem Solving learning model in fraction counting operation lesson at Grade VII A MTs. Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School of Malang, (3) students’ study completeness by using Creative Problem Solving learning model in Fraction counting lesson at Grade VII A MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Junior High School of Malang. The research used qualitative approach with descriptive research type. Data taken was observation of students’ activity, divergent thinking ability test as the creativeness level testing tool and students’ completeness test. While data source in this research were students at grade VII-A MTs. Muhammadiyah 1 Malang, research object was Creative Problem Solving (CPS)learning method. Research done showed that the average students’ learning activities from meeting I to III always increased with percentage of students’ average activities learning after three meeting was 70.08%. Students’ creativeness from meeting I to III always increased with average percentage of students’ creativeness after three times meeting according students’ divergent thinking in one class was 64.39%. Final test average of students’ study completeness was 77.78%. According to the research, there could be suggested to use CPS learning model to be alternative for teacher to be applied in math learning.
