Playing is the world's children. Play makes children know the world and the environment, the opportunity to learn to solve problems and develop creativity. Several types of games made by children is one of them is kind of pretend game that became the object of research. The purpose of this study is to investigate, describe and identify the pretend play activities of children aged 5-6 years in terms of language used, themes and role play and interaction with others, the stimulus and the object of the game, the frequency of occurrence. Data collection methods used in pretend play is to conduct observation pretend play by children aged 5-6 years and conduct free guided interview on the subject's parents. While the analytical techniques used are qualitative analysis. Based on the analysis results can be concluded: 1. The ability of language use in children aged 5-6 years when pretend play quite communicative. This is evident from the ability to communicate with the use of patterned sentences spo, albeit in simple form, the ability to capture the point who wants to communicate and communicate thoughts and feelings of self to others and peers can understand. 2. The theme for children aged 5-6 years tend to be monotonous and varied. For older children, a theme raised more varied than in children whose age was younger. 3. Selection of a role in pretend play activities related to the theme permainanyang are underway. The tendency of the type of social pretend play of the game is still there despite playnya solitary pretend. In this stage of the game is complex. 4. Stimulation of the game in general come from playground equipment and backed by experience has been obtained by the child and the child's behavior mimics also come from everyday activities. 5. Frequency of occurrence of pretend play of the six research subjects do not differ much, there is a day 1 time a day and there is 2 times.
