Teenage is a time of self or identity, At this time teenagers will be very vulnerable to any problems. For that young people must be clever determine the attitudes, know with whom he befriended and knew how he should do, if no teenager will become the figure of someone who is not desirable, adolescents will experience alienation. Alienation experienced by adolescents can occur either with themselves, family, friends and environment. Alienation is a feeling lack of close relationships with people other and are unhappy with the lack of it. One cause isolation are the environmental factors that are closely related to the relationship social in which every human being would need it. For that guidance or social support from those around him are needed by adolescents as reference to how to deal with the problem, various advice and a variety of ways will wanted to try. Social support is an emotional expression able to provide assistance, encouragement, strength, capable of protecting a person from the negative effects and anxiety, and can provide information either verbally and non-verbal and was able to convince that he received, managed and cherished. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between support social alienation in adolescents. There are two variables in this study, the independent variable (X), namely social support and the dependent variable (Y) that is alienation. The hypothesis is no relationship between social support with alienation in adolescents. Subjects were students of SMU 2 Lumajang. The total population 290 students, then sampled at 100 students with using cluster random sampling technique. Data collection methods performed using Likert scale: (1) social support scale (2) alienation scale. Methods of data analysis used in this study is the product moment correlation technique. Results obtained by analysis of the correlation coefficient (r) equal to -0.619 and p = 0.000. This means that there is a significant relationship between social support with alienation, ie the lower the social support the adolescent will be more high experience of alienation, and vice versa. The major contribution effectiveness of 38.3%.
