Mental retardation is a condition of intellectual growth retardation seen in behavioral immaturity, low intellectual level and low social skills condition the limited ability of adolescent development possessed mental retardation, triggering the emergence of the myth that states that they have no sexual attraction to the opposite sex and is not capable of doing sexual behavior with the opposite sex. The condition causes mental retardation teens avoid a variety of information about sexuality and the opportunity to interact with the opposite sex. This study aims to know the description of the mentally retarded adolescent heterosexual behavior. This research is qualitative research. The process of data mining is done by non-participant observation and interviews. Observations are made directly by observing the behavior associated with heterosexuality adolescent mental retardation, which is done at home each subject on 04 December 2005 until January 3, 2006, with research subjects as much as two people. Interviews were conducted with research subjects and informants are the source of the family who lived with the subject, the teacher who has taught the subject, caregiver permah boarding care subjects and friends who know the subject. The procedure involves research pralapangan stage, the stage of field work and data analysis phase. Checking the validity of data is done by checking the data of observation, interview data and written documentation on the subject of research. Results of research on heterosexual behavior of adolescent mental retardation, including their picture heterosexual behavior. The forms of heterosexual behavior that is raised by the research subjects followed the pattern of development of heterosexuality in adolescents, which include feelings of falling in love and attracted to the opposite sex, interest in personal appearance in order to attract the attention of the opposite sex, approaching the opposite sex they like and romantic attitude in form of giving a gift to the opposite sex that they like. In addition, the subject of the research also shows that other sexual behaviors, such as dating behavior, bergenggaman hands, cuddle up to smooch with the opposite sex to their liking. On the whole it can be concluded that, adolescent mental retardation showed a normal teenager like heterosexual behavior in general. The condition of mental retardation does not interfere with or impede the emergence of heterosexual behavior as a manifestation of their sexual attraction towards opposite sex.
