Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to help children who have problems with motivation to learn through group learning and group counseling. Learning Motivation serves as the driving behavior of the child to learn, motivation as the driving behavior, motivation as a referral activity. Motivation to learn has a number of factors, internal factors: talent, interest, intlegensi. External factors: family (parents) in everyday life become a major factor in one's learning. Parents have a role in regulating the schedule, giving a sense of responsibility on the obligations that will support the potential of children, friendly atmosphere, family economics, almost all the needs of cost, school, community. Factors that can affect children's learning motivation is the family as the smallest institution in society that have a role in social life. The method used in this research is descriptive approach is to approach group counseling and group learning. This research was conducted at SMU PGRI Kepanjen by taking a sample of students are students of class I and class II student, amounting to 4 children. Individual and group counseling approach given study group. This approach aims to solve problems associated with learning problems, family problems and society. As well as solving the problem of how to overcome learning difficulties in creating a critical and active attitude on each subject so that students can know the talent and interest in him. The results of this study show that after such approaches students begin to want to learn to be active and critical in every subject. So this can make students more eager to learn and students feel motivated. Of the 4 students complained about how penymapian many subjects that are less effective so that students feel lazy to follow the subjects that students are considered incompatible with the interests and talents of students.
