Abstract

Religious conversion is the process by which a person undergoes many changes and learn new things. Changes that occur in a person would cause conflict within the individual, and the opposition will also bring anxiety. In a principal religious conversions are many conflicts that ultimately led to various kinds of anxiety. To relieve the anxiety that a person required to make adjustments with the aim that individuals can survive and be accepted by society and keluarnganya. This study aims to determine the adjustment effort is what an actor for his religious conversion remains well accepted by the surroundings of the old religion were environments as well as a new religious environment. This research is a non-experimental research that is descriptive qualitative research. The subject of this research are people who convert without any specific criteria, and the subject used as much as 3 with two subjects experienced a conversion and then converted to Islam and the subject entered a Christian. Data collection techniques used are free guided interview method. Analysis of the data used in this study is by way of inductive data analysis techniques are presented briefly in the display data forming a coherent story The results of this study indicate that personal adjustment because adjustment is influenced by one's personality. This also occurs in religious conversion, adjusting themselves to the people who moved religion depends on the personality of the individual but the conflicts faced enough adjustment affects one's self.
