Abstract

The Village Consultative Body (BPD) is an institution that carries out government functions and the BPD has the function of supervising the Village Government. Supervision is the process of observing the implementation of an organizational activity to ensure that all work being carried out runs according to a predetermined plan. Supervision carried out on the village government is carried out by the West Kanamit Village Consultative Body of course to prevent and correct errors, deviations and discrepancies in the implementation of the tasks carried out and the implementation is carried out in accordance with previously agreed plans. Supervision carried out by BPD includes direct supervision in the field and indirect. This research uses descriptive research methods and uses a qualitative approach. The concept used in this research is the concept of supervision. The method used in this research uses qualitative methods with literature studies, documentation and interviews. The aim of this research is to find out how the West Kanamit Village Consultative Body carries out its supervisory function in the implementation of village government in West Kanamit Village, Maliku District, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan Province in order to prevent abuse of power by the Village Government. The results of the research carried out have three main points, namely the administration of government by West Kanmit Village officials covering four areas, namely Development, Empowerment, Administration and Health, all of which run in accordance with community aspirations so that existing work programs are truly intended for the benefit of the community. Furthermore, supervision by the Kanamit village BPD is carried out in two ways, namely directly and indirectly. Directly in the areas of development, empowerment, administration and health, the BPD is present in the budget and other planning plans carried out by the village, but direct inspections are rarely carried out by the BPD considering the busy schedule and the main function of the BPD which is only monitoring. . Furthermore, indirect supervision is also carried out in four areas, namely Development, Empowerment, Administration and Health, where supervision is carried out by comparing the achievements in the village accountability report with the initial plans that have been made. Based on the results of existing research, the suggestion that can be given is that the BPD can carry out direct inspections occasionally as a form of supervision, as well as establishing a clear monitoring mechanism.
