The study examines the acquisition of Indonesian children aged 4 years. Language acquisition in children aged 4 years of first language (B1) and second language acquisition (B2). Mastering the Indonesian vocabulary in preschool children is the ability to understand and ability to use the vocabulary of the Indonesian language. Vocabulary is part of a language and mastery of vocabulary is an important part of language proficiency. Thus, vocabulary must be mastered well. Preschool children who have not received a formal language lessons, is part of the process of language acquisition (B1) and (B2). Language acquisition in children is an important study as a basis for formal language learning at school. The purpose of this study is to investigate and obtain complete description of (1) vocabulary have been mastered any 4 year olds, (2) how the formation of Indonesian words which are held by children aged 4 years, and pattern formation Indonesian sentence children ages 4 years. To achieve the above goal, this study used a qualitative descriptive method. Data was collected using participant observation techniques. Instruments in this research is the tape recorder and field notes. This study takes the object of two children with their respective age 4 years 2 months and 4 years and 7 months. Analysis of data processing done on the basis of the lexicon, based on the type of word and sentence formation patterns Based on the results of data analysis, obtained the following results. First, the vocabulary produced by the two sources of data in 60-minute duration of the recordings and classified words in the lexicon. In this case, found there are 16 fields, among others, based on family fields, fields of objects, field site, field presence, field of activity / activities, natural areas, areas of question words, the field names of animals / animal, color field, the field of vehicles, the field of food, disease field, the field events, bidag profession, the field time and field limbs .. Secondly, the formation of words dominated by the two sources of data, found a pattern that is formed there are 16 patterns, among others, said air augmentation, in-, Men-, ng-, too, his, her, him, to - an , in - in, in - tion, ng - in, develop - an - his, too - an - her's, and his. Third, sentence patterns found there are four patterns that SPOK, SP, SPO and DSS. From the analysis carried out there are characteristics that diujarkan words by children, the intervention code Indonesian and Javanese language and slang. It was also found that children with the age of 4 years in the pronunciation of the letter "r" to "l" because it still cidal. Of course both of these characteristics is the input for parents and kindergarten teachers in applying the language to children.
