Abstract

Bad language (swearing) is a taboo language or a vulgar language that is offensive or rude. The use of bad languages could be found in frankee’s song which tittled “fuck you right back”. This song was released in 2004 in an album whose tittle is “the good, the bad, the ugly”. This analysis is aimed to find out the bad languages, types of bad languages in “fuck you right back” lyrics by Frankee and the meaning of bad language. The design of this study is descriptive qualitative. The object of this study is “Fuck you right back” lyrics. The result of the data analysis shows that there are 5 bad languages that used in “fuck you right back” lyrics. They are profanity, obscenity, insult, vulgar, and taboo. Bad languages that are found in “fuck you right back” lyrics are aimed to show the anger to his ex-boyfriend about the song that he wrote which tittled “fuck it (I don’t want you back)”. Besides to show the anger of the songwriter, the bad languages that are found shows that bad language has the meaning the sexual connotation or sexual intercourse.
