Markers cohesion is one tool penjalin integrity of a discourse. Her presence helps the smooth writing and reading comprehension. The main function is to integrate relationship cohesion markers that one sentence with another sentence. To determine this, the author aims to describe the type and meaning of cohesion markers antarkalimat in class X student essay SMK Muhammadiyah Malang 02. The subject of this research is a class X student of SMK Muhammadiyah Malang 02. This is due to the difficulty students to link one sentence with another sentence. This research is expected to be useful both theoretically and practically, namely (1) provide information about the type and meaning antarkalimat cohesion markers, and (2) provide teachers to determine students' weak points in using the marker antarkalimat cohesion in the essay. The research design used in this research is qualitative research. The realization of this research data is a marker of cohesion antarkalimat in essay, whereas the data source is a class X student essay argues SMK Muhammadiyah Malang 02. Instruments of this study is in the form of tables and researchers themselves. Data collected with assignments and documentary techniques. The steps are performed in data analysis is (1) read, (2) selection, (3) gives the code, (4) identify, (5) classify, and (6) interpret the data. The results showed that in the essay the students found the meaning of the use of grammatical markers in the form of pronominal cohesion that is our persona, her, and they were to declare personal pronoun, whereas the use of pronominal demonstrative meaning that is it, here and there to declare pointer pronoun. Meaning the use of cohesion markers of this substitution, thus to express something.
