Abstract

Self confidence represent conviction to self capability so that he doesn’t worry about his actions ang beliave to all excess aspect owned and that conviction makes him feel can reach every purpose in his life. Self confidence is formed through individual interaction process with his environment, so that it can be said that family is the first step for individual to form the children self confident. The divorce family has uncompleted family structure and unharmonious interaction, otherwise complete family has complete family structure and harmonious interaction. The objective of this research is to find out diffrence of self confidence between student come from divorce family and complete family. This research was conducted on September 8th to 14th 2009, using incidental samping. Amount of sample 72 students, 36 students come from divorce family and 36 students from complete family. Data analysis used T test to find out diffrence test between two groups. The research result indicated that there was significant difference showed by value (t = 2.938; p= 0.005) between self confidence of student comes from divorce family that has lower self confidence by value (92.19) and student comes from complete family by value (98.42). the student comes from divorce family has low self confidence. Whereas students come from complete family has high self confident.
