Abstract

Background : Mental disorder is one of the main problem on developing country. One of the cause is pshycosocial stressor. Most of schizophrenia is caused by psychosocial pressure. Objective : To find out the main and secondary of psychosocial stressor on patient’s first attack at RSJ Dr. Radjiman Wediodingreat Lawang on March – May 2009. Research Method : Using descriptive observasional that shown by frequent table. There is 168 sample from 510 total population. Datas were taken by estimated sample formula from total sampling. Datas were taken from medical record on march – may 2009. Result : The main psychosocial factor that caused first attack skiozophrenic patients who treated at RSJ Dr. Radjiman Wediodingreat Lawang on March – May 2009 was disappointment to parents (48 patients or 28,57 %). And the secondary factor was the economic problem (51 patients or 30,36 %). The datas showed that new schizophrenic patients were aged 25­44 yearsold, male, non edeucated and jobless. Conclusion : dissapointment on parents and family is the main stressor and economic factor is the secondary factor which caused first attact on skizophrenic patients whose treated at RSJ Dr. Radjiman Wediodingreat Lawang on March – May 2009.
