The development of an organization is determined by the leader. It is because the leader has the most important role for his or her members. The function of leader is as motivator, problem solving, organizer and the developer of policy in organisation to achive the goal ar target. Woman is the leader that still questionable in her competence. Yet, in fact, today, there are a lot of woman that become leader in every fields, like in military in which mostly handled by men. This study is qualitatif descriptive study that is concerned to know and to deskribe the leadership style of policewoman. This study conducted on Desember 2, 2008 by involving 3 superintendets as primary sources and 6 members of police distriks as secondary sources. This study is based on the purposive sampling method, where the 9 subjects is in the police official by tenure as the leader is 2 years, and the members that has work intention by the leader for during 2 years. The process of data collection is conducted by using observation ang interview. From the result of study, it can be concluded that the leadership style on policement tends to use democracy. It is supported by woman leadership that is more oriented on humanity, by viewing the way of communication and more supervise toward all members. Besides, policewoman tends to respectindividual competence and more flexible toward existed and fixed roles. Woman leader here also shows that she is more relying and more orienting to antiauthoritarian cooperation.
