Abstract

In the era of globalization, creativity is considered important in every area of life one of them is the quality of human achievement to be able to overcome the challenges of the times with the climate of globalization of the world with all aspects of life that require fertilizing creative attitude in various aspects of life, especially in the field of education so that will be born that are not only qualified in achievement but also in terms of creativity. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between the level of creativity and academic achievement in students. The variables in this study there are two levels of creativity as an independent variable (X) and student learning achievement as a dependent variable (Y), research subjects are students of class 1 and 2 MI MI Muhammadiyah II guava and Huda Mansyaul Kletak Reef located in Jombang . Sampling technique used was purposive sampling with the number of subjects are 50 students between the ages of 7-8 years. Data collection method used is the test method in the form of figural creativity test type B to reveal the level of creativity of students and student learning achievement gained from the recapitulation of the semester report cards value 2, while data analysis techniques using product moment SPSS Version 10.00. The conclusion from the data analysis obtained by calculating r r2 of 0.399 and 0.159 with a significance value of 0.001 which showed a significant positive relationship between the level of creativity and academic achievement in students and the conclusions obtained in accordance with the research hypothesis that the relationship between the level of creativity with learning on student achievement.
