Abstract

High beams are part of a reinforced concrete structure which is generally found in the beam for the (girder), Beam penghubuang, retaining walls and shear walls. In fact different from the normal beam beams have criteria and requirements are if the ratio between the shear span and height (a / s) beam does not exceed 1.0. shear span in question is part of a long beam that receives the shear stress in the same direction due to working loads. In this study specimen size and quality of concrete 13x45x150cm 340 MPa. Tests carried out with two loading points (Two Point Load), with the increase of loading every 100 kg and the ratio a / d is used, namely 1.2, 1.0, 0.8. after testing is done to analyze the behavior of high beams, especially the ability to resist the load, deflection, stiffness and ductility that occurs .. Results showed that the smaller the ratio a / d crack and ultimate ability to hold even greater. The amount of increase in weight-bearing capability at the time of the initial crack vertical beam with a cross bar (BT-SV0) = 66.31% and the beam with a transverse tilt (BT-SM0) = 90%, whereas at the time of reaching the ultimate BT-SV0 = 40.28% and BT-SM0 = 33.94%. Deflection that occurs at high beam SV0 BT-crack initiation at higher 168.87% of the block BT-SM0, whereas in the event of ultimate BT-SV0 larger blocks 33.99% of the BT-SM0. Beam with oblique cross bar has a stiffness greater than the vertical beam with a cross bar which is 28.67% to 18.03% and the shear stiffness to flexural stiffness. The behavior of ductility that occurs indicates that the ductility of the beam-SM0 BT has a greater value yatu 87.91% of the block BT-SV0.
