Language is the primary tool for interacting with others, without any human language will not be perfect. Each child is given the perfection and imperfections in the mastery of language, a child born normally would easily accept the language he was hearing. While not a normal child born will have difficulty in mastering the language. Children who experienced weakness in language acquisition called mental retardation. Language or expressions used by children who have weaknesses in thinking when compared with normal children. This was caused by the level of language skills possessed by the child's mental retardation is different, the use of language in children Mental Retardation has its own characteristics pronunciation sounds better than uajaran language nor the formation of words or sentences. The use of language in children mental retardation is one of the research that can be used as an input, that the language used by the child's mental retardation needs to get attention. The study focused in detail in the form of language produced in the process of communicating. As you know there are differences and similarities are quite significant between a preliminary study conducted by Astuti Hariyani in 2003 with current research. Study presented lies in the analysis of the language used by children who have weaknesses in thinking. Previous research are general and less specific or more things that are less obvious. Research is now more focused in the form of language in the form of pronunciation of speech sounds of language and sentence formation in detail. This study used descriptive qualitative method that aims to provide a picture of the phenomenon under study with what they are. From the analysis results can be seen that the language used by the children of Mental Retardation has its own characteristics, in this case with children who have weaknesses in the thinking tends to eliminate the consonant letters are difficult to diujarkan. The use of phrases and sentences question becomes major news in communicating with these children. From the overall analysis can be concluded that the language used by children Retardation Mentalcenderung same, in this case they are among the group of children is quite difficult to produce a word or sentence. Researcher beharap for all people to participate to support children who have weaknesses in order to learn the correct language well.
