Beam is an important construction in a building. So in practice the beam capable of delivering loads tributary from the floor slab to the vertical support column. This study examines the flexural and shear capacity of beams. In this study using samples totaling 12 units consisting of 4 types, where each type consists of 3 specimens. Of the 4 types of specimens there are a wide variety of stirrup, which is a wide variation of diameter of a circle is composed of 5, 6, 7, 8 cm. With the test beam measuring 10 cm x 15 cm, length 150 cm, diameter 7 mm main reinforcement, transverse reinforcement diameter of 4 mm. The results of this study indicate that the beam with a cross bar 8 cm wide variation has the ability to withstand the greatest load, which for the average load value that can hold is 893 kg, so for the ultimate moment (Mu) average KNM 290.225, and ultimin shear (Vu) average 446.5 kg. While that has the ability to withstand the smallest load is wide variation transverse beam with 5 cm, which for the average load value that can hold is 836 kg, so for the ultimate moment (Mu), the average is 271.7 KNM, and shear ultimin (Vu), an average of 418 kg.
