One problem came from individual in facing higher organization obligation and hard competition in employee work place was stress. People who got stressed became abnormal, whether in soul or behavior. Individual stress in long time with high intensity could cause individual exhausted in physical or mental. The condition called burnout, which were physical and mental exhausting happened because of long time stress, in situation faced high emotional involvement, consequence of burnout was the worse relation of the worker with workmate which in long time could cause intrapersonal relation disturbance. From the career development concept, this disturbance could cause ‘career paralysis’ (disfunction). High rate Burnout could make disturbance of our relation with work. What used to happen was burnout make lower work attention and ability in getting information to fulfill the task. The result is, performance get lower, too many factor influenced individual to choose strategy needed to face the stressor. One of them was personality factor. That caused the writer interesting in studying personal characteristics relation (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) with Burnout. The research was quantitative with non-experimental design. As dependent variable was burnout and independent variable was personality characteristic (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator). The subject used was employee of KPKNI office X DJKN Surabaya and Sidoarjo, total of subjects were 100 subjects for research. In this research used total sampling technique, for data analysis method used multiple regression technique with 4 predictors helped by SPSS 11.0 computer program. According to the data analysis there could be concluded that there was significant relation between personality characteristics (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) with Burnout at employee of Wealth Service and Auction Office Kanwil X DJKN Surabaya. It was shown by the regression coefficient result (F) = 23.272 and sig = 0.000 with effectiveness contribution 49.5% where judging (20.319%), extroversion (18.847), Thinking (14.538%) and Sensing (-4.213)
