Abstract

Achieving the status of self-identity is one task of adolescent development to explain who he as a person who has characteristics, which involves self belief / decision making abilities of the consistent choice. In this case, adolescents often experience confusion standar-standar/kriteria identity associated with environmental / social expectations, as always hanging out with their environment. For that directly or not, this will make individuals are trying to fulfill it. Along with the task of development in the achievement of self-identity, in which teenagers begin to blend, make friends with other ethnic groups. This condition affects the achievement of self-identity, with respect to the current environment (the school). This research is a descriptive with quantitative approach, the sample study were students of class 2, and 3 SMAK CorJesu Malang, using a quota sampling technique in order to get the subjects numbered 79, the Chinese teenager teenagers 39 and Java 40. Data collection instrument is the scale of identity status. Test the validity of using a product moment correlated with whole and part reliability test was done by using alpha. While data analysis using descriptive analysis by way of percentage and clarified by the chi-square test. Based on the analysis of data obtained the percentage of identity achievement status of Chinese adolescent identity achieved in 31.6%, 19.0% identity moratorium, in Identity Foreclosure, and identity that reaches diffusson no such identity. While the percentage achieving the status of self-identity in adolescent identity Java achieved 31.6%, 15.2% identity moratorium. in Identity Foreclosure, and identity diffusson each has a percentage of 1.3%. This means that the achievement of self-identity teens are not much influenced by culture but heavily influenced by the changes that occur in their environment.
