The nature of newspapers in general that is what the message conveyed and the effects of what is expected. News investigations is the result of construction of a newspaper that provides information to the public as a recent report of an event or events that factual and interesting. The most newspapers highlighted is the reality of a major case of public concern than any other event. The arrest of Saddam Hussein from December 14, 2003, which made the United States military because of the issue of war criminals, is a major case that led to the trial of former Iraqi president, known as a dictator who was accused still has weapons of mass destruction (WMD), and allegations that Saddam Hussein was a vicious war criminals and cold blooded. How to see this affect the final outcome of the construction of reality and Framing analysis is used to see how newspapers construct the reality of certain aspects and certain connotations. Framing analysis used in this study developed from the model of Pan and Kosicki and Teun Van Dijk. This model assumes that every story has a frame that serves as the center of the organization of ideas. Frame This is an idea associated with different elements in a text message (such as citations of sources, background information, the use of certain words or phrases) into the text as a whole. In this approach, the framing can be divided into four major structures, the structure of syntax, script structure, thematic structure, and Rhetorical Structure. Type Qualitative research is descriptive, which describes in detail about an object, condition or phenomenon by using a qualitative approach, which allows us to see a phenomenon or the circumstances of a holistic or whole. The scope of this research is hard news in the daily news about the news compass "The capture of Saddam Hussein's edition of 14 to 18 December 2003". NEWS hard news is news that happened at the time, and this news is very limited by time and measure the success of this news category is the speed standpoint news or in other words actuality news. From the analysis shows that the media has its own emphasis in preaching. though Compass did not show a clear stance, but it tends to show its support of Saddam Hussein's arrest news. In the frame of this support, the model of writing that used Compass is contrasting opinions that support the opinion that refusing. Where the opinion that supports the given portion of the news bit, is not accompanied by detailed, while the opinion that support, reinforced with background, details and share the news that long. With the writing model, the impression that emerges is of opinion that the arrest of Saddam refuses to doubt the truth and become a minority between the opinion that there is. While the opinion that support is only seen as the most correct opinion and trustworthy.
