Abstract

This research background by condition of ability write student still less maximal, specially in usage of imprecise punctuation mark so that cause student less maximal in using language write good. In this case can be seen at the time of student accept letter items. Strategy or model used by teacher at the time of teaching still tend to question and answer and discourse. This matter cause saturated student, slouch, and less share and also to express its idea, so that student less active in following study. Therefore, researcher lift this problem as research of class action. To improve and also upgrade the study, hence require to apply approach of contexstual as effort improve ability write student official letter. above mentioned Problems is how execution of approach of contexstual to increase ability write class student official letter of VII SMP 6 Malang and how raising ability write class student official letter of VII SMP 6 Malang by using approach of contexstual. This research aim to to execute study with approach of contexstual and improve ability write student official letter. This research is Action Class Research (PTK) by collaboration between teacher and researcher. This research is executed in class VII.7 SMP 6 Malang with subject research of class student of VII.7 SMP 6 Malang counted 44 language teacher and student and Art Indonesian. This data research in the form of activity learn and moment student process study write official letter and also result of value is raising ability write student official letter. The data obtained with technique, observation, interview, perception, documentation and tes. This research place researcher as teacher and observer as executor of action moment action take place. Gathered to be data to be analysed qualitative and is quantitative. As for technique analyse data the used is to reduce, presenting and concluding. From result of research known that complete percentage learn to write student official letter before action equal to 29.54%, cycle of I equal to 61.36%, and cycle of II equal to 86.36%. Achievement and attitude posed at student have more enthusiastic and more active. Thereby, applying of approach of contexstual can improve ability write class student official letter of VII SMP 6 Malang school year 2008 / 2009.
