Abstract
This study aims to identify the types of lichens in Bumi Perkemahan Bedengan, Solorejo,
Malang Regency, and analyze the abiotic factors that influence the presence of lichens in the
area. The method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach, where data is collected
through direct observation and morphological analysis of lichen thallus. The results of the study
showed that there were four types of lichen thallus found at the research location, namely
crustose, foliose, fruticose, and squamulose. The presence of these lichens is influenced by
abiotic factors such as temperature, humidity, and optimal soil pH in the area. The lichens
found have the potential to be used as bioindicators to monitor environmental quality and as
biology learning materials related to the ecology and conservation of epiphytic plants. This
study is expected to contribute to the management and utilization of lichens as a source of
learning biology, as well as increase awareness of the importance of forest ecosystem
conservation in the Bumi Perkemahan Bedengan area.
