Indonesia’s final decision in accepting Exxon’s lengthen work contract and also let it became the only operator in exploring Blok Cepu was never been happened without US’s penetration, whether economically or politically. And the Indonesian’s government decision to give the exploration right of Blok Cepu areas to the Exxon Mobil Corporation by the lengthen contract until 2030 was showing the under development of Indonesia, especially the weakness of Pertamina. Moreover, in the end of the negotiation Exxon Mobil also became the only operator, this showed the Indonesia’s un-independence. Keywords: Multinational Corporation, the independence of country.
