Abstract

The aim of the study, entitled 'Interest Attractor Factors Student Watch Impressions Indonesian Idol 3 on RCTI 'is to obtain a complete explanation of pull factors of student interest in watching Indonesian Idol 3 on RCTI. Research This is done to the nine students who have audio visual attention with program. Structured and open interviews with the documentation used as a way to obtain data. While the interviews are conducted twice that take place on the campus of University of Muhammadiyah Malang, and the residence of the respondent. In analyzing the data researchers used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and formulation of conclusions to identify the factors behind the interest students in watching Indonesian Idol 3 on RCTI. Researchers used theory-basic theory of audio-visual production, Uses and Gratification Theory, Media Dependency Theory and motives of Melvin H. Sosiogenik Marx. In this research revealed that there are two main factors that attract students in watch Indonesian Idol 3, viz. External factors in the form factor packaging event in this case, technical factors, including factors picture and sound, the event formats and target spectators, hours and days running, set the stage and lights a distinctive and attractive, presenter Reliable and presenting the event in general packaging and other external factors originating of the environment in which the respondent is located. While the second factor of the internal factors in the form of interest in the show because kebutuhanan be entertainment and depth information about Indonesian Idol 3. There are some things where the researcher recommended further expected develop a similar study with more diverse perspectives to obtain more optimal results, as did the emphasis on the stages of pre production, production, and post-production. In addition, the management of Indonesian Idol 3 is expected to perform the development and improvement of quality in various aspects, such as judges, presenters and format of its own events.
