Abstract

The involvement of work to be one important factor discussion in the job because of the involvement of related work on employee motivation and satisfaction. One of the aspects related to the alleged involvement of an employee, ie aspects of personality. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between personality factors, especially the big five personality with job involvement. This research is a non-experimental. The population in this study were employees of PT East Java Interest Wangsa Sejati Park Jln. Kartika No.2 Stone. While the sample is an employee marketing division II, maintenance, education and Dufan of 60 employees. The sampling technique used was proportional sampling technique. Data collection method used in this study using the scale, the scale of the big five personality factors and job involvement scale. The data analysis technique used is regression analysis of five predictors. From the analysis of data obtained F = 5.693 and P = 0.000, which means there is a very significant positive relationship between the big five personality factors with job involvement. The most effective contribution is given by the aspect of conscientiousness (23%). The next aspect is the second largest contribution is extraversion (11.6%) and agreeableness (11.6%), the third largest contribution is the openness to experience (9.7%) and the aspect that gives the smallest contribution is neuroticsm (7 , 2%).
