Stress, anxiety and the difficulty of living expenses that must be passed by early adult lately causing increasing tendency them to sleep disorder or insomnia. In Indonesia, approximately Third of adults suffer from insomnia each year. Obviously if insomnia is not immediately addressed would disrupt the function of everyday self. A safer approach is through music, where music that has effect is to calm gentle music that is music with rhythms less more than 60 beats. This was an experimental study using And pretest posttest design One Group Design. The subject used of 5 people aged 18-30 years who are selected using the method purposive sampling. Methods of data collection in this study using a questionnaire Pittburgh Insomnia Rating Scale and Self Monitoring. While the methods of data analysis is to test different (t-test). Results of tests obtained t-test t value = 5.507 and P = 0.005 (<0.01) which shows that there is a very significant difference between insomnia prior to soft music therapy (pretest) with insomnia after music therapy soft (posttest). While the mean pretest and mean posttest = 135.60 = 96.80 showed a decrease suffered insomnia after listening to soft music. From the analysis above, it can be concluded that music therapy is a soft effect to the decrease insomnia in early adulthood.
