Abstract
The research background is fact that there are small things considered to be gender discrimination in school environment that out of adolescent conciousness. This unconciousness on gender discrimination in education field of course resulted in certain attitude of adolescent if they faced such deliberated phenomenon. This study purposed to find out how male and female adolescent attitude on gender discrimination toward woman in education field. Attitude on gender discrimination toward woman in education field referred to positive or negative judgement, agree or disagree toward attitude object situation in this case on gender discrimination toward woman in education field, based on 3 components of attitude namely cognitive, affective and connective. The object attitude referred to lack of even distribution on opportunity to get education for woman, discrimination on content of material book, womwn subordination, program expertise stereotip, and differentiate on extracurricular. This research conducted in SMA Negeri 08 Malang using sampling purposive technique to decide reseach subjects. The total sample include 60 people consisted of 30 male students and 30 female students. The data collecting sampling used questionnaire. The research showed different attitude between male and female adolescent on gender discrimination toward womwn in education field. Male adolescent tended to agree and female adolescent disagreed. On first attitude object or lack of opportunity in obtain education for woman, male students more agreed than female students. For second attitude object, discrimination on material book content, both male and female students showed disagreement. On attitude of women subordination, male and female students showed agreement. Tendency of male and female students attitude toward expertise program stereotip showed disagreement. Finally, on differentiating extracurricular, male adolescent tended to agree, while female one tended to disagree.
