Abstract

Teaching techniques and teaching media are two important things in teaching English. That is why, the purposed study is concerned: (1) To find out the teaching techniques that used by the teacher of B class in teaching English at TK Bani Ahmad Malang, and also (2) To find out about the teaching media that used by the teacher of B class in teaching English at TK Bani Ahmad Malang. In this study, the writer used descriptive research design. The research subject in this study is only one teacher who taught in B class at TK Bani Ahmad. The instrument of this study are observation and interview which intend to find the data about teaching techniques and teaching media used by the teacher of B class to teach English in TK Bani Ahmad Malang. The result of this study shown that there where four kinds of teaching technique that used by the teacher of B class to teach English at TK Bani Ahmad Malang , they were: (1) Songs, (2) Games, (3) Telling Story, and (4) Field Trip. There were also six kinds of media that used by the teacher of B class in teaching English at TK Bani Ahmad Malang , they were: (1) Picture, (2) Puppets, (3) Real Object, (4) Tape recorder and cassettes, (5) Films, and (6) Television.
